The inspiration for this painting came from a true story. During the 1950's a wooden bridge was the only access to the local barrier island. It became a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to fish off this endless pier. An acquainance said that his only family vacation as a child was to this very area He learned to fish, had a wonderful time and never forgot. I decided to capture his memory on paper.
